Saline Cheerleading

Starting on Tuesday Janurary 11, 2011 practice will be from 7-9. This will be every Tuesday for the rest of the season, with the exception of the kids clinic week in February.

The girls need to arrive ready to go at our HS at 7:00 am. If they need there hair done they need to be there earlier. The bus leaves at 7:30. The doors for spectators open at 9:30 and the competition begins at 10. Shirts will sold and concessions will be available. Remember the bus does not bring the girls home so they will need to have a ride planned before leaving for the competition.

The girls will need to arrive at the HS by 6:20 am(ready to go). We will warm up as a team in the wrestling room and then load the bus at 6:50. The doors at Novi open at 7:30. Competition begins at 9:00am and is $5.00 for spectators. T-shirts will be sold. Remember to send a snack/lunch with your daughter. Also remember you will need to make arrangements for your daughter to get home after the competition. The girls have been working hard and I am excited to see how we do at our first meet.

Just wanted to let everyone know gymnastics times have changed. They will now be sending 3 instructors out instead of two and having all varsity girls together. Varsity will now go from 7:30-8:30 on Mondays.

It has come to my attention that there was some confusion about the

fall bottle drive fundraiser. The main concerns were, how much money was made, how the money was distributed and what the funds were used for.

During the fall fundraiser the girls were able to raise $2897.60. This is awesome considering out goal was $1365 (which would be $35 per girl).

Varsity’s main purpose for the fundraiser was to be able to go to

Wolverine All-stars to gain an extra day of gymnastics. This was a

charge of $35 per girl. The JV funds were to go towards helping pay

for their gymnastics on Mondays with Downriver. Since most parents

already paid for Downriver gymnastics I thought it would be fair to

cut $35 off of your fall apparel that was ordered.

All of the extra money was then left in the girls “personal” accounts

which were held in the Saline Cheer Fund. If your daughter is moving

forward into competitive season her account will travel with her. If

your daughter is not moving forward the money in her personal

account becomes part of the Saline Cheer Fund, which in the end

benefits the whole program.

Meet for Parade- 4:45

Parade- 5:30

Tailgate- following parade

Game- 7:00

*Parade and tailgate is for all teams (liitle league, MS, JV and VAR.). Please makes sure to drop your dishes off to the tailgate moms so they can get everything organized.

I wanted to let you know I’ve loaded the proofs of the varsity cheerleading photos onto my website. To view them, visit the site at http://www.GinaHarrisonPhotography.com and enter the SENIOR section of the website. From there, click on the CLIENT tab and enter the word CHEER as the password. You will be able to view the team photos as well as the individual photos.

I’d like to ask if you could please pass this message on to each of your cheerleaders/parents. If anyone is unhappy with their individual photo, please have them email me no later than Saturday to schedule a re-take at my studio. My email address is GinaHarrisonPhotography@gmail.com. If they email me I’ll need to know the file number (located in lower left corner of each photo) of their photo. Also, for those girls that ordered a team photo, please have them email me with their choice of which photo they wish to have (white background or gym) printed. I’ll send the orders to the printing lab next Monday and will deliver them to you by Friday.

One last thing... If any of the girls are interested in a free set of 8 wallet-sized photos, have them “LIKE” Gina Harrison Photography on Facebook by this Saturday. It’s that simple
